Bishop Quainoo works with the local clergy and civic leaders representing the Anyii of the Western North Region of Ghana. He believes strongly in collaborative effort and building community as part of the witness of Christ's Love. He says "This Bible translation is for the Anyii nation and the Churches there."
Anyii is primarily an oral language. Before translating the Bible
into Anyii, a certification of the lexicography was required. Even though the certification is in place, we often use Twi, one of the major written languages in Ghana to translate updates about our plans and progress in the Anyii Bible Translation Project. This page will give you current updates and events.
